Feature Article: Know Your Madisonian

In January 2021, I was featured in the Wisconsin State Journal’s "Know Your Madisonian" series, highlighting my transition from a Madison police officer to the department’s new Public Information Officer (PIO). The profile covered my vision for the role: using creativity, transparency, and technology to keep the public informed and engaged.

After nearly 12 years as an officer, I stepped into this civilian position to lead strategic communications, media relations, and community engagement for the Madison Police Department (MPD). My goal was clear: to build trust through timely, accurate, and open communication.
