Storytelling
Project type
Storytelling: Public Safety Awareness & Digital Media
Date
2018-2023
Location
Dane County, WI
From 2018 to 2023, I created a yearly video series for Madison Area Crime Stoppers, aimed at raising awareness about porch piracy and holiday car thefts. This campaign combined education with entertainment, using scripted videos featuring volunteer community members to make crime prevention engaging, relatable, and impactful.
Each year, I wrote the scripts, directed production, and ensured the messaging was both informative and shareable, helping spread critical safety tips to prevent package theft and vehicle break-ins. The videos gained significant social media traction, were picked up by local news outlets, and contributed to increased public awareness during the holiday season.
